A Year In Review
Of course 2008 was a critical year for music. From the Britney charades to the FOX station protests. From the Obama-inspired renaissance in black America, including music, to the federal indictments of some of today's biggest stars. It's safe to say we've seen the best, and the WORST music has to offer in 2008. So without further or due, I, Carmine the Composer bring to you the T3 Awards of Achievement for '08.
The Award for the Single Hardest Working Man in Music goes to...
None other than Weezy F Baby, Lil Wayne. When word got to me that this man officially has more songs on record than 2pac....I almost fainted. No joke. Now whether the herbal essences I was enjoying had anything to do with that doesnt matter. NOBODY has the quantity nor quality that Weezy has been putting out thus far and he has the Platinum records to prove it, records which he earned in 1 WEEK. Dogs lie, people lie, but good sir Numbers do not.
Breakthrough Artist of the Year
Gucci Mane La Flare! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Unh. If you havent heard one of Gucci's "Wilt Chamberlain" or "So Icy Boy" mixtapes you must live under a rock. Gucci has more mixtapes than I can even count. Personal favorite "DJ Drama & Gucci Mane Presents: The Movie". If the freestyle videos dont win you over, your not human.
Best R&B Album
Whenever you need to get your grow-man riding around or chillin with a woman, get T-Pain's "Three Ringz". Hate on the autotune all you want but every song on this cd is a hit. Close contender Ne-Yo "Year of the Gentleman".
Best Non-Rap Cd of 2008
N.E.R.D's "Seeing Sounds" is the type of album that makes you sit back and think.....Damn Virginia must be a sick ass place to produce guys like this. Diversity is an understatement. By now everyone in the world knows the futuristic sounds of Pharrell and co. fall short to none. And guess what..their live show is even better!
Rap Cd of the YearLeading a protest against the corrupt propaganding FOX news was probably the most under-appreciated event in hip-hop in a long time. Nas' Untitled delivered, but also is a rude awakening. Like clockwork Nas drops classic album that actually challenge your brain and make you think. Untitled to me is Nas' best cd to date.
DMV STAND UP !!!Tabi Bonney is that guy you havent heard. Excuse me, that "Fly Guy" you havent heard. Or maybe you have. 2008 Introduced me to Tabi Bonney courtesy MTV2. When I saw his "Cool and Fly" video I couldnt help but want to hear more. On top of that he runs his own clothing line at www.bonneyrunway.com For more on Tabi Bonney check out his myspace.com/tabibonney Download: "Beat Rock ft. Dj Flexx"

Fear God???
Lets just make it a point to say that the most random blogs will prolly be by me (Tony). How yall doin anyway? I always like to ask cuz I mean its always good to know...even if I cant hear yall answer back lmao. Carmine you a beast with the blog and layout. Is it straight if we bounce off each others posts?? Fuck it I already did so oh well. Just so everyone knows Carmine has been the other blogger so far. The other members will be bloggin too so no worries, in fact one will be bloggin reeaall soon....
ANYWAY on to topic Ive been thinkin about somethin. The term "Fear God". Lets think about that for a second. Hold up first lemme tell yall my religion. I happen to be a Rastafarian. Now I know what yall thinkin. "Oh you just say that cuz you smoke a lot of bud and listen to Reggae music", well your right I do smoke a lot of bud and listen to Reggae music, but thats not really the reason I became Rasta. The main reason is because Ive always been about peace and happiness (aint yall seen my sig??). Ever since I was a lil kid Ive wondered what it would be like if everyone got along in the world and all that. Then when we went to war it kinna fueled me to want to strive for peace all over even more. This is kinna funny if you know me personally cuz Ive taken about 4 different martial arts in my life so far and one of which is a killin art. Like I mean brutal killin (Kendo). Not that Ide ever use it on anyone, but Ive been interested in the Samurai for a while now. Also I did it because last year round Oct. my life took a lot of turns that I had not experienced before and it made me realize things about my life and life in general. So in short my savior is Jah Almighty Haile Selassie I.
Damn my ADD is kickin in, now back to our regularly scheduled program lmao. "Fear God" troubles me cuz check this... history shows fear leads to hate and hate leads to war and war leads to destruction. Dont take it from me just look at history, and no Im not gonna give a history lesson just do the research. So in turn unintentionally "Fear God" is sayin "I hate God", and on a deeper level its also sayin "I hate myself". Now Jah is essentially the reincarnation of God. As Rasta I know (when it comes to Jah we dont believe, we KNOW) Jah is within me and everyone else that chooses to take him in no matter your religion. I mean no matter who or what you believe in you should also believe/know that your savior is within you, you know? Now personally I love Jah and you should love who you believe in too. Never fear your savior cuz they wouldnt wanna rule you by fear. Hitler and Stalin ruled by fear, so dont put your savior in that same category...unless those are your saviors lmao. Am I makin any sense?? Anyway this has been another random blog by your as truly Tony Battle. Pkakakaa (my laugh...if you know me youde know thats how it actually sounds get used to it cuz Ima use it more often).
Oh btw I figured Ide tell yall what Im listenin to on every blog since Im always listenin to music. Currently Im listenin To Charles Hamiltons ALBUM(its not a mixtape) The Pink Lavalamp. IMO this is the BEST non T3 Album released this year, along with Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak. Im not gonna give it a detailed review just know that I think its the best and that you should get it. OH did I mention it was FREE?!?! Yes people this album was realsed BY CHARLES HAMILTON for free!!
you can get it here. Take care and Bless.

Music News 12-15-09
Warning this will be a Meg-Drop. Random Music Biz News just to keep you updated on, what im updated on ya feel me? Okay first things first. Now I know a lot of people see hiphop as a loud foul-sounding nuisance, but i mean its not like its torture.....Or is it?
Dr. Dre, Eminem, Others Used As Torture Music December 15th, 2008 | Author: Omar Burgess The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that declassified Army documents approved soldiers to use various forms of popular music as torture devices for known terrorism suspects. The documents approve "yelling, loud music, light control: used to create fear, disorient detainee and prolong capture shock." Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, who served as U.S. military commander in Iraq, authorized the torture technique in September of 2003. Binyam Mohammed who was held at the "Dark Prison" in Kabul, Afghanistan says U.S. forces bombarded him with repeated listens of Dr. Dre, Eminem, Nine Inch Nails and Metallica, which left inmates screaming and smashing their heads against prison cell walls. "There was loud music, [Eminem's] 'Slim Shady' [click to read] and Dr. Dre for 20 days. I heard this nonstop over and over," says Mohammed. "The CIA worked on people, including me, day and night for the months before I left. Plenty lost their minds." While few are sympathetic to the plights of alleged terrorists, despite the fact that many of the practices violate Geneva Conventions, some of the artists whose songs were used are quite upset. Tom Morello, whose work with Rage Against the Machine was also used, has joined with a group of other musicians to protest the use of their music as a weapon. "I suggest that they level Guantanamo Bay, but they keep one small cell and they put Bush in there...and they blast some Rage Against the Machine," Morello said. (source www.hiphopdx.com)
Now if that wasnt enough to get your brain twisting...fathom the number 92 Million...dollars that is. Even in a recession thats still a whole lotta f**king money. But to someone like..Madonna, thats pocket change..
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Madonna has paid her ex-husband British director Guy Ritchie up to 60 million pounds ($92 million) to settle their divorce after eight years of marriage, her spokeswoman said on Monday. She said that sum includes the couple's English country estate, Ashcombe, which is valued at about 20 million pounds ($30 million). The couple's combined wealth has been estimated at about $525 million, but Madonna accounts for most of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you one of the most lucky men in the world
Okay all the marriage talk is making me scared. Scared like the kindergarten class who knows Micheal Jackson is there for Career Day!!! Yayyy another Micheal Jackson molestation joke. But no honestly I know that Micheal Jackson is and will forever be the Greatest Entertainer in the world but come onn.. this is just....weird.
You want more dont you. Yeh you sicko, fortunately cameras snapped about 6 photos of this freaky ensemble here
Now on a lighter note...
See what happens when Max. B aka Biggavelli aka Boss Don aka iCreated Jim Jones, visits none other than....Jim Jones.
Carmine's 1-word response to recent music headlines:
"Kanye's New Album to be called Winter-Spring-Summer-Fall" - depression.
"Eminem unveils his own Air Jordan shoe" - tool.
"G-Unit performing Get Up live at 2008 VGA Awards" - camo?
"N.E.R.D. Video Sooner Than Later" - VIRGINIA
Speaking of Virginia, Carmine and T3 ripped their last venue performance of the year. Pics and Video proof are available.

Just got me thinking, Kanye just might be the best entertainer alive right now.....Just a thought
Okay this post will be fun. It is currently 2:03 on Thursday. Then again it's no ordinary Thursday. Me and T3 guys have our finale show slash party tonight and everything seems good to go. Im listening to Gucci Mane "Big Cat LaFlare"and this shit is getting me amped as fu**. Im always inspired by music and I often use it to assist in a situation. If Im feeling broken maybe like my chick just left me, that Heartless from Kanye West is going to hit like twice as hard. But now im just getting into the mind state of a lyrical assassin. To get on the stage and kill is the only thing on my mind. And i know for a FACT that the rest of the T3 family will do the same tonight.
Fav Gucci Vid Drop
Okay on a whole other note, Im thinking of releasing this collection of songs I entitled "Only In America". Im testing a few songs out tonight at the show and im excited to see how they respond. Anyway I got 2 diff covers in mind for the cd, their like ...
well...Ill let you see
Idea 1....
Idea 2...........
There just a couple ideas Im fooling around with. The cd is came from a time when i was writing a lot more about political stuff and kinda had this big conspiracy against....alotta things. I know some questions will arise about why this city of choice for the background. Some might even ponder on the font choice for the 2nd idea....Oh well, it will be done and delivered to the masses pretty soon, but dont call it a conspiracy!! Peep the flyer for the showww below @@
